The Source Skills Academy for training, development and conferencing.

The Source Skills Academy is a flagship centre providing state of the art training, development and conferencing facilities for all sectors of the local community and local businesses in South Yorkshire, including Sheffield, Barnsley and Rotherham.

The Source is a training and development centre set up by British Land in partnership with Sheffield City council in 2003. Established as a charity, the facilities include a gym, café and a mock shop for students.

For more than 10 years, The Source has built a national reputation for excellence in retail and customer service training and is one of only a select number of National Skills Academies for Retail and the only Centre of Vocational Excellence for Retail in South Yorkshire.

The Source Skills Academy plays a central part in providing training for inward investors into the region. Profits are reinvested for long-term development, to create a self-sustaining organisation.

It contributes to regional, social and economic regeneration strategies, connecting disadvantaged communities to new economic opportunities, supporting local businesses in their training needs and encouraging inward investment in the sub-region.
