The Community and Employability team have achieved a massive 100% success rate in functional skills for English within the department. They have also achieved 94.1% pass rate in functional skills for maths.
The Community and Employability team works with a range of learners from school leavers to those looking for work to adults needing support in the workplace. Since November 2018, 57 learners from the RNN Adult Education lessons at The Source have taken part in functional skills lessons and gone on to ace their tests.
Helen Lee, Community and Employability Team Leader, said: “Over the past few months our staff and students have worked really hard to pass their functional skills tests. We’ve built a very successful and strong programme of work for both English and maths which will allow our learners to be successful in the future.”
