I have been a tutor for over 6 years now. I enjoy meeting new people, and how each day is varied and different. My job satisfaction comes from seeing my students develop their skills and knowledge, and progress in their careers - while supporting them to achieve their full potential. I believe that underpinning knowledge in health and social care greatly improves the quality of care provision. I joined The Source in October 2020 and I feel privileged to be part of such an amazing and supportive team here at The Source.
I gained my first GCSE as an adult learner, and I am still very proud of my A* English GCSE. I then progressed to achieve my A level in English as well as completing level 2 & 3 apprenticeship diplomas in Health and Social Care as well as additional GCSEs. I began my career in health and social care over 13 years ago, starting out with limited knowledge and no experience-progressing to become the Residential Unit Manager of the care home I began my training with. Prior to this I worked in the manufacturing industry as an electronics assembler and then as an electronics test engineer. I feel a great connection to my students, as I have progressed to where I am today through the same journey my students are taking. I enjoy my job because I am passionate about the care industry, and I believe that I can make a positive impact on the lives of the people I work with.
