Tom Williams
EMPLOYER: The British Heart Foundation
LOCATION: Sheffield
COURSE: Warehousing Traineeship
Tom came on to the Traineeship programme to improve his employability skills and gain real work experience to help him get in to work.
He started his work placement at The British Heart Foundation in the warehouse department. Throughout his placement he carried out a number of jobs including processing deliveries, moving stock and carrying out stock replenishment.
He soon impressed his manager and other colleagues. As a result, feedback from the team was very positive, especially about his professional and committed attitude, and his relationship with the team.
After his Traineeship came to an end, Tom was supported by Business Account Manager, George Fullerton, and the Learner Engagement Team at The Source to help into the next step of his career.
In February, only a week after completing his Traineeship, Tom went for two interviews and was successful in both. Tom as already started his Warehousing Apprenticeship at one of the businesses.
Tom said: “I am really excited about starting my apprenticeship and everything I have learned on my Traineeship has helped me get there!”
Tom, photographed with his Tutor Joanne Lodge, received his certificate for completing his Traineeship programme at The Source.
Joanne said: “Tom has come a long way over the duration of his Traineeship and I am proud of him for securing an apprenticeship role so soon after completing. He is very hardworking and I know he will do well in the next chapter of his career.”
