We are The Source Skills Academy which is our trading name for Meadowhall Education Centre, which is a registered charity, and Meadowhall Training Company. We were set up in 2003 by British Land in partnership with Sheffield City Council to offer support to the local community, but have since grown to deliver training and qualifications on a national scale. The registered address is 300 Meadowhall Way, Sheffield, S9 1EA. Our VAT number is 348 4061 96.

2. How we collect information
When you use our website, you are in control of what information is collected. We only collect relevant personal information about you, and any other individual whose details you provide to us.
We’ll collect this when you:
- Book onto a training course
- Submit an enquiry for; Training, Apprenticeships or any other general enquiry
- Request a meeting
- Sign up to receive our newsletters
2a. What information do we collect?
- Information about your computer and about your visits to, and use of, the website (including your IP address, approximate geographical location, browser type, referral source, length of visit and number of page views); we will ask for your permission before we do so. We may do this using cookies or similar technologies.
- This may include your name, business name, telephone number, email address, postal address or delegate names.
- If you apply for an apprenticeship vacancy with us, we’ll collect; your email address, name, telephone contact number, postal address
2b. How is your information used?
We will use your information to:
- Process a booking you’ve made with us
- Contact you to arrange a meeting
- Send you communications which you have requested via newsletter - this may include apprenticeship information, training dates and courses.
- Process a job application
We’ll only contact you in relation to your original booking, query or application, unless you subscribe to receive our newsletters.
Your information may also be used by The Source to generate website user reports, this is analytical information and does not include your personal data. We’ll store data for a period of 3 years, at which point it will be removed from our company server.
Data collected connected to ESF/ESFA funded training, apprenticeship and traineeship delivery will be retained in line with current government funding rules. The below links provide further information on how data is collected and the reasons for retaining data.

2c. Who has access to your information?
We do not sell or rent your information to third parties and your information will not be shared for marketing purposes.
We may need to share your information in relation to funded training and/or apprenticeships.
3. Your choice
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, post, phone or text unless you have given your prior consent.
