This Apprenticeship is aimed at individuals employed in senior roles such as supervisors, team leaders, department leads, within the retail sector. They will be appropriate for those who are already competent in a significant variety of retail work activities and require a wider and more complex range of abilities and responsibilities.
The Retail Standard is designed to develop your knowledge and understanding (know it), skills (show it) and behaviours (live it) associated with the role. You will study the following subject areas:
- Customer service
- Business and finance
- Marketing, communication, sales and promotion
- Product and Service
- Merchandising and stock
- Developing Team and personal performance
- Legal and governance
Duration: The programme is delivered during normal working hours, making it a real opportunity to learn while you earn. Timescales for completion depend on the individual, but on average the qualification takes between 16 to 18 months.
Job roles may include: Senior Sales Assistant, Visual Merchandiser Supervisor, Departmental/Floor Manager, Store Manager.
