The Source has exciting and ambitious plans for growth over the next few years and is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our Operations Team. We are looking to recruit Tutors, Assessors and Trainers with experience of delivery high quality teaching and learning in the following areas;

Work Based Learning Tutor / Assessor - Digital (2 year fixed term contract)

Work Based Learning Tutor/Assessor- Warehousing & Logistics (Sessional) - North East England

Trainer - First Aid/Security (0.5 - 1 year Fixed Term Contract)

Finance Manager

In this hands-on role we are looking for a dynamic and proactive Finance Manager to assist the Director of Corporate Services, in a full range of Finance Activities. 

Skills/Qualifications required:

  • Previous experience of managing and developing new team members (Essential)
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACCA /ACA) (Desirable)
  • GCSE Maths Grade C or equivalent (Essential)
  • Knowledge of UK and International Accounting Standards (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Sage accounts database and basic Tax knowledge (VAT, PAYE & NIC) (Desirable)
  • Previous experience in a finance management role with strong management skills and the ability to use appropriate level of initiative and be driven, with a focused attitude to work,
  • Dynamic, self-starter/ self-motivated,
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and growing business

Assistant Management Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant. We require an enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys working within a team and who is able to work within a fast paced and varied role. As Assistant Management Accountant, you will assist the Management Accountant in a full range of Finance activities. 

Duties will include: 

  • Assisting in the production of the management accounts
  • Assisting in the production of full income reconciliation and sales ledger controls
  • Assisting in cover for purchase ledger and credit control
  • Ensuring and compliance with financial and internal control
  • Assisting with the production of payroll for circa 100 staff
  • Analysis of income and expenditure
  • Preparation of depreciation journals
  • Preparation of journals (accruals, prepayments, deferred and accrued income)
  • Assisting with Balance sheet recoveries
  • Monthly stock review
  • Assisting with cash flow management and reporting
  • Petty cash cover and daily banking
  • Assisting with headcount and ratio reporting
  • Assist with year-end audit, production of KPIs and ad-hoc management reports

Community Engagement Officer

Initially fixed term for 6 months.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to support the Learner Engagement Team with the planning and co-ordination of the British Land funded, Bright Lights project.

The successful person will be responsible for supporting the co-ordination of all aspects of the project working closely with and reporting directly to the Learner Engagement Manager.
