Marketing Review

We are looking to work with a highly experienced external partner, with a significant level of experience within the marketing and promotion sector.  Also, a knowledge of further education and the local geography and demographics would be an advantage. More information about this opportunity can be found here.

Community Engagement Officer

Department: Adult Skills and Community Team

Hours: Full-Time

Salary Per Annum: £22,000-£24,000 per annum

Main Duties

  • Establishing an ongoing community presence for the Source as a provider in local communities as agreed with line management through participation in local network meetings, assumption of community and school roles and all other appropriate activity.
  • To actively promote the Source’s full range of provision for local communities, school leavers and employers as appropriate.
  • To participate and support in any specific community-based delivery projects to ensure success.
  • To deliver information, and guidance for new learners against a range of provisions, making informed and objective decisions based impartially upon learner needs and aspirations.
  • To undertake risk assessments and monitoring visits of potential community venues for delivery.
  • To establish and sustain links with local community groups, JCP and local partners in agreed specific regions.
  • To support in organising and facilitating the assessment, taster and community sessions in support of all community delivery.
  • To produce reports on engagement with the local community on a periodic basis to inform assessment of work effectiveness and inform curriculum planning considerations.
  • Identify and gather opportunity marketing and publicity to support the active promotion of the Source as a provider of high-quality education and training.
  • Any other duties, commensurate with the grade of the post.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience required

  • GCSE grade 4+ or equivalent in Maths and English
  • IAG Level 3 qualification or higher
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and work to tight deadlines
  • Consistently high standards of professionalism in conduct, acting as a representative of the organisation at all times
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels
  • Be able to manage time and conflicting priorities
  • A good level of administration and IT skills
  • The ability to provide objective and impartial Advice and Guidance
  • Proven ability to liaise with partners and stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • A proven commitment to equality
  • Experience in operating successfully in external roles within the community and/or voluntary sector
  • Experience of working successfully within the education sector
  • Experience in conducting IAG in an objective and impartial manner supporting the guidance of learners

Programme and Vocational Tutor

Department: Adult Skills and Community Team

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Salary Per Annum: £15,617 Per Annum

Main Duties

  • Provide IAG, enrol and manage a caseload of learners through to progression 
  • To enrol learners on programmes (face to face and remotely) and ensure compliance 
  • To prepare and review session plans, scheme of work and teaching/learning materials using initial assessments and marked work to consider the learners’ individual needs 
  • Plan and deliver engaging and exciting training sessions to inspire and motivate learners in classroom and workplace environments, depending on employer requirements 
  • Plan, prepare and deliver online via Teams and other e-platforms 
  • To improve learners’ experience through providing ongoing support as required 
  • Continually monitor and review learners’ progress 
  • Assist in the writing, design, and development of curriculum through planning time and standardisation meetings 
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and progress
  • To consistently deliver high standards of teaching and learning 
  • To provide learners with one-to-one support in a contextualised setting 
  • Act on feedback from teaching observations, employers, peers, or other review processes 
  • Undertake necessary training to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector (if required) 
  • To provide accurate and timely formative and summative assessment and feedback to learners, and maintain assessment records, including tracking and reporting of learner progress in line with the organisation’s policy
  • Complete qualification administration to required standards for awarding body and verified by IQA/EQA
  • Engaging with quality management processes to ensure that teaching maintains Outstanding OFSTED standards

  • Hold a teaching qualification, at least a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)
  • Level 2 in English and Maths

  • Level 3 Assessor Qualification
  • Level 4 IQA Award
